Campaigner Spotlight: Michelle Flick

Hi everyone. Today I’m starting the second round of Campaigner Spotlights, and first up in this series is Michelle Flick, from Oh! For the Love of Books.

What is your favorite color?
I can’t pick one but I tend to love dark, dark colors – like midnight blue, forest green, deep purple – almost to the point where they look black with a hint of the other color.

What is your current (or next) project about?
Oh, this is a tough one! I am smack in the middle of my paranormal series. And when I say smack – I mean I have it the brick wall and am waiting for the writer’s block to lift. The series is about telepathic twins who end up at a boarding school because the Headmistress believes they are part of an ancient prophecy. The sequel which I am working on picks up with the twins while they adjust to their new lifestyles and some more prophecy thrown in there. And while that writer’s block  is going on, I am working on brainstorming for another YA idea (A spin on Aladin) and a historical romance idea.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?
I can go either way on Saturday – Go out and paint the town red or stay in, in my comfy clothes.  The only thing that matters is that I am surrounded by good company. I notice with the company I keep, that I never lack in laughter and a smile on my face the next day. I am lucky that I keep the friends and family I do.

I became a high school English teacher to hide my love of YA under the guise of teaching. Smart, right? My blog features a lot of new YA releases and my honest opinion, with a dash of my humor mixed in.  I am currently trudging and stumbling along in the publishing world with my first manuscript, a YA paranormal. Someone should have warned me it was like preparing for battle. Stop by my blog and see what I am reading and track me as I progress on my publishing trail.

  1. Michelle, I hope you manage to overcome that brick wall. I’m really curious about the ancient prophecy involving your telepathic twins.
