Have you participated in Camp Nano before? If so, would you call it a success?
Yes, and yes. I took part in both sessions last year, and managed to get my word count both times.
Do you know what you’re going to write this year?
I’ve known what I would be writing for Camp for several months now.
What’s your favorite part of your Camp project?
That would have to be either writing fight scenes, or writing various parts from one particular’s POV. It’s fun getting into some characters’ heads, particularly if they tend to be kind of snarky.
Sneaky Ninja question! Who is your favorite author ever – you have to pick just one!
I have a lot of authors that I like. But my absolute favorite would have to be Stephen King.
The project I’m doing for this session of Camp is the fourth and final arc of my Hell Bent series. None of it is published at the moment, but I have been working on it ever since Script Frenzy last year. It takes place in a city in Pennsylvania called Hell Bent, the lab capital of the US. The main characters of this series are a family of genetic experiments (and one mage/doctor), and it follows them as they deal with such enemies as a serial killer, a technophobic mage, and a cyborg with a grudge. I’m hoping to get around to illustrating it after it’s edited and then self-publishing each part.
While there’re numerous characters that I like in this series, my favorite would probably have to be Travis. He’s part-monkey, has VERY long red hair, and can heal quickly from nearly any injury (and come back from the dead, in most cases). He’s not what one might call a genius, and tends to get himself into some kind of trouble on a regular basis. He doesn’t let that bother him, though, and enjoys annoying those that try to hurt him or his family/friends.
Thanks for stepping into the spotlight, Beastfire!
