What’s up Wednesday: Off and Nano-ing

What’s Up Wednesday is the weekly blogfest to share the answers to a few simple questions… Join us!

ROCKETBORDERWhat I’m reading:

Got really into ‘Jumper Cable’ while I was at the convention this weekend, and I finished it yesterday. Also finished the first installment of ‘Lockstep’ from this issue of Analog magazine, and listening to ‘The Ringworld Throne’ on Audible.

What I’m writing:

Nanowrimo writing has begun! I finished off the incomplete draft of “The Witches of Arion” in the first few days, and I’ve started my sample chapters for “Alien Love on a Kitchen Scale.” The plot is very loose, but I’m catching hints of magic!

What inspires me right now:

Nanowrimo energy, my birthday coming up on the calendar, and all the fun I had geeking out with Doctor Who fans at Reversed Polarity.

What else I’ve been up to:

Well, I finished my revisions on ‘Return to Civilization’ and sent it off to Asimov’s, so fingers crossed.

Good luck with NaNo. I love your title “Alien Love on a Kitchen Scale” and I think I love the fact that you still don’t know what it’s about even more.

    Happy writing.

I came over here on a link from Alex’s ISWG, and there is NARY A HINT OF INSECURITY HERE. Which is fine, because if you skipped it, I’m not the ISWG police. AT LEAST NOT OFFICIALLY. Not since Alex made me turn in my gun and badge, after my last case. Well, you know what? He can take my badge, but he can’t take my commitment to justice. That’s why me and my underworld informant, Petey, are going out tonight to the docks. I heard there’s a HUGE, illicit shipment of insecurity coming in tonight, and I plan on making sure that Boss Tweed doesn’t get it. Sure, I might be taking a big risk in doing this, but if it works, Alex’ll have no choice but to reinstate me to the ISWG police, and then I can FINALLY propose to …

Whew! Next time I am DEFINITELY not eating pepperoni pizza just before bed and then for breakfast and then again for lunch. Nope: 2 out of 3, for THIS guy.

Anyway, sounds like you’ve got a lot going on. First time visitor, but I’ll check you out in the future.
