For the A to Z challenge this year, I’m sharing science fiction and fantasy story ideas…

There’s a jewel, it’s the macguffin for the plot.

The jeweler is a well-known appraiser of jewelry, and gets caught up in a noir adventure after the woman who brought it in to be authenticated turns up dead.

Something or somebody, (maybe the same dead dame) warns him to keep the jewel secret until he finds out who he can trust.

If you’re interested enough to pick this up and write your own version, feel free; ideas are cheap. And let me know! I’ll be keeping the notions vague enough that lots of different stories might be written from them.
