Welcome friends, followers, and Weekend Writing Warriors!
Good morning! I’m sharing eight more sentences from my Nano project “Never Found.” It’s hard to believe that November is over, isn’t it? My main character, Tricia, has been woken by a mysterious blonde stranger at her apartment…

“Could everybody in your family do magic?” Tricia prodded.
“My mom and my brothers can only change to wolf form and back,” Candice said. “Dad does that, plus some energy projection. It’s basically like being able to fire a gun, except you don’t need the gun or any bullets. Kinduv a handy trick, but also important to be careful with.”
“Change to wolf form,” Tricia repeated. “Are you telling me you’re werewolves? There are freakin’ werewolves in Toronto, really?”

There are freakin’ werewolves in Toronto, really?” The disbelief is palpable. Nicely done. 🙂

Candice is very open. Her family seems interesting and weird at the same time. I personally think there are werewolves in Toronto, too 😀

I am left wondering why exactly Candice is so forthcoming with Tricia. Everyone has their reasons for sharing secrets (or not), but if the general population doesn’t already know there are werewolves in Toronto, then why share more info than is necessary? I feel like there has to be some greater reasoning behind sharing the information….
Thanks so much for sharing!

Yes, that’s very true. One reason is that Candice’s boss is recruiting Tricia for his crew, and part of what they can offer Tricia is information on the paranormal, since Tricia has magic of her own that she doesn’t really understand.
